Thank you for your offer, I really appreciate it! And thank you for sharing what works for you, I will experiment with incorporating it into my own routines. I also found that the information on this site helped put things into perspective and is helping me to get to the core of why what works and w...

I have free weights, and I use them occasionally. For the most part, body weight exercises have been enough for me. I'm basically like a beginner: even though I have a history of "trying" to workout, I never really got anywhere until the past 5 months or so. For the past 5 months I've mostly been fo...

Thanks RRM. It is good to know that it is possible to tackle workout fatigue and still get the benefits of working out. I'm just beginning to experiment with lighter/precision workouts. Hopefully I find my sweet spot. I haven't been maintaining constant blood sugar levels, either. So I suppose I hav...

Workout Fatigue
Does anyone know exactly causes workout fatigue, and are there any tips to avoiding it? I want to maintain a fit body, but I find that lifting weights often leaves me feeling tired for a day (or days if the intensity is high enough). Is there a way to avoid this? Is it possible to lift very lightly ...

Normally about half of the sugars in OJ is sucrose. Ah, I see. Hmm, then it shouldn't really make that much of a difference if we add additional sucrose through table sugar... Yeah, I will have to do more careful observation... It might turn out that I took much larger amounts of sugar in than I th...

It varies quite a bit, from 0% 'til about 8%, which is the same for the percentages of glucose and fructose, so I don't think we can speak of very small amounts. You are right. It does vary. I over-generalized. With what type of sucrose do you feel this bloating effect? Do you mean when you eat pla...

Wintran, I am not fully sure what signs you are interpreting as being high blood sugar levels, but maybe it is something else? For example, I seem to feel kind of heavy headed/bloated after eating more than a small amount of sucrose... but I don't seem to have this problem with glucose, fructose, or...

Well, the connection with saturated fat and cardiovascular disease could have some merit... but from what I've read, the Finnish are just much more predisposed to cardiovascular disease. Take a look at the French for example. They eat a lot of saturated fat, and yet they still have low rates of hear...

whoops... I just realized that I read the data wrong... they don't seem to list the n-6 information.... but let's look at it from another angle... some eggs say they are enriched with 200 mg of n-3 fats. Nutritiondata.com and waisays (appears to be the same data) say that there is ~600 mg linoleic a...

according to the waisays nutrient calculator, the omega-3 content is higher than the omega-6 content of the egg. According to nutritiondata.com, omega-3 seems to be slightly higher than omega-6. The numbers don't seem to add up totally, but both waisays calculator and nutritiondata.com claim there i...

hm... I am also surprised that there are so many O's and B's here. I had the suspicion that most here would be Type A. Both of my parents are A+, so I'm assuming that means I have a fairly high chance of being A, also. The desription of the Type A Diet, as well as the "Carb Type" metabolic type, jus...
