Pretty sad.... To help the foal gain weight, strength and health, they gave him raw eggs! 
Thougt that was kind of cool. Also a bit strange, though, since they are after all herbivores. But it seemed to work pretty good, of course

Found it quite illustrative; tonight there was some program on tv on animal planet wherein an undernourished mere gave birth to a premature foal. Obviously, it was next to dead Pretty sad.... To help the foal gain weight, strength and health, they gave him raw eggs! Thougt that was kind of cool. Also a bit strange, though, since they are after all herbivores.
