Buying crates of oranges (for juicing)

Post by Kasper »

Where do you get your crates of oranges ?
Is there a way to order it on the internet?
What is a normal price ?
Which oranges are the most tasty at the moment ?

I buy them at a wholesaler (Makro). Prices range from 10-20 euros. I think taste is personal, and of course you're always dependable on what's available.

I buy them from someone who used to sell fresh orange juice at the market.
He is retired now, but brings me 10 crates whenever i need them,
at a fairly good price (12.50 to 17.50 per crate; depending on the specie and season).
I think its because he wants to keep the market stand in his name,
which requires being able to show whole-sale invoices.

I've just been to Makro, really an eye-opener. Never been there, but a friend of me had the card I needed.
It's much cheaper. And I'm poor student who spends much money at going out etc. so, I really needed that :D

I've bougth 30 kg of orange juice,2 kg raisins, 2kg dried abricots, 2kg nuts, 1 kg strawberries, 30 organic eggs :D
I just have to buy a freight bicycle, so I can get even more food in one time.
