food allergies cause acne?

RRM and freinds,

Is it possible that someone could possibly get MORE acne on this diet if they are allergic to certain foods, like lets say citrus or eggs. Lets say someone has a citrus allergy or nut allergy and they rarely eat these foods, but then they go on the acne diet and start drinking tons of fresh orange juice and eating some nuts.

Can food allergies cause acne?

Yes, a food allergy can cause acne, because of the response of the skin (tightening)

RRM and freinds,

If one suspects a food allergy, what would you suggest, an elimination type diet? What is the best way to track it down. How bout allergy testing through a lab like Great Smokies, allergy testing seems like it could produce some false results, I dont trust it 100%.

Your thoughts?

I HAD A FOOD TEST LAST YEAR. THEY TESTED FOR 42 COMMON ALLERGIES. ALL NEGATIVE. I WAS HOPING THIS WOULD BE THE ANSWER. HAVE TO KEEP SEARCHING
