Re: Weston price & vit A connection
Egg yolks are not that high in vitamin A (in mcg per 100 g.).sunpower9 wrote:intake of vit A and menstrual cycle connected...eating lotsa vit A supposed to reduce bleeding or maybe stop it completely (weston price foundation) so eating lotsa egg yolks does definitely help women's cycle...
22,000 mcg calf liver
15,300 mcg ox liver
12,800 chicken liver
881 mcg egg yolk
450 mcg tuna
100 mcg mackerel
93 mcg oyster
41 mcg salmon
39 mcg chicken
21 mcg ox blood
20 mcg beef, muscles only
The RDA for young women is 800 mcg vitamin A per day...
The reason why consuming raw egg yolks reduces menstrual cramps and bleeding is because of the cholesterol.
With every cycle lots of cholesterol gets lost from the pre-placenta.
Some women just need 1 egg yolk daily (only 146 mcg vitamin A) for one week prior to menstruation,
while others may need up to 10 yolks a day. (166 g. = 1462 mcg vitamin A)
