Yeah maybe raisins are not for you :D
I think they are not for me either, I had a really hard time when I tried them recently.
What's that cheesecake you mention, I thought dairy was off the menu for you?

Re: Aytundra's Diary (not Wai diet)
Title: Raw aytundra is not good at chess!
But I will let rebellious aytundra explain her rationale. - fun aytundra.
Dairy "was" off the menu, and "is" still is. - Rules Aytundra
But that cheesecake had my name written all over it. - Crave Aytundra
I have no allergies to wheat or dairy. Dairy "was" off the menu, to bring aytundra closer to her Wai day.
Now that all aytundras knows that she can survive a Wai week, dairy "is" off the menu just simply because it is not a Wai food item.
So that morning I woke up.
Between a fruit cheesecake and a strawberry chocolate sponge layered cake, in a partly empty fridge, stocked with zero oranges (gasp how can one have zero oranges stocked?), and 30+ pears, + 1 very hungry calorieless crave aytundra tagging along.
I chose the more optimal cake, with acclimatize aytundra's approval.
Uh how is a cheesecake better than spongecake or pears?
Calories. I saw calories, I also saw more variety of fruits on the cheesecake than strawberries on the sponge cake, it had canned peaches, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, kiwi. Not to mention less Maillard rxns, because dairy is cold, compared to a vegetable shortening cooked spongecake. imo I would chose eating more calcium than more cooked rxns, so a wheat cake vs. a dairy cake, I would choose a dairy cake. So I convinced acclimatize aytundra that there is no purpose in withholding a cheesecake from crave aytundra.
Now the pear, why not chose the pears?
Pears, I can only tolerate up to 2 pears in a row. That's hardly enough to feed a zoo.
Calorie hungry aytundra needs food.
Acclimatize aytundra agrees, so on the chess board. "Raw aytundra, Check."
- Rebellious Aytundra
"Check?" "Quoi? Wait what just happened? Yikes...no checkmate, please."
Rebellious aytundra is one tough opponent. I am basically facing myself.
Some help with this chess game?
I need to find a way to increase calories.
Acclimatize aytundra which currently switched sides to be friends with rebellious aytundra, just took my Knight, "Raisins got captured!!!."
"Arrgh, come back on myside...!"

Re: Aytundra's Diary (not Wai diet)
Awful toothache on left side of back and top molars since 4:58am. Suspects can be banana, cherries, or sugar water. Raisins was out of the picture.
I think it was sugar water, I was already getting acidic tastes signals when I started the 1st round of 4tbsp sugar water.
Must be my own body's way of saying to stop sugar. Acidic taste warning first, followed by toothache that basically inhibits food ingestion, had to chew everything I ate this morning on the other side of my mouth.
Funny when I ate 45 cherries, the 4tbsp sugar water tasted very mildly sweet and no acidic after taste, but when I started the second jar of water, the acidic after taste returned on the tongue while consuming the water.
Anyways, what I have done so far seems to do nothing to relieve the pain:
1 glass of water
1 orange
1 tomato
1 gulp of water
(debating on whether to sit through the day or to get something to relieve that.)

1 terrible toothache on left molars top and bottom
1 glass of water
1 orange
1 tomato
1 gulp of water
1 pear, fiber removed
5-7 (can't count, leftovers from previous days) steamed egg whites
3 bites of potatoes, boiled with chicken, did not eat chicken.
4 bites of shrimp, pan fried, but peeled off the protective layer of soy wrapping, basically soy got fried.
7 bites of fuzzy melon, peeled and boiled.
1 rice steamed
1 slice of hami/golden melon
---
To trigger a toothache, means at least one unproductive day occupied by pain. For me the cause might be sugar.
Toothache is still here, my diary history says sleep will solve it, I think. I didn't do anything to it today, but decreased fruit and sugar intake.
How bad are boiled potatoes? French-fries obviously has the Maillard rxn products, the greater the heat the more there is.
What if potatoes were slow cooked? Is that possible?
Tolerance of kcal per meal
So I have read this thread: on sugar and it's supporting cast.
viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2460
I am not the average joe, 196g sugar, I don't drink pop or eat candy much, my diet prior to this diary was probably on the low calorie side.
It has always been on the low side calorie-wise: 1oatmeal watery (dry weight is like 2 spoons of dried oatmeal), 1egg, 2 slices of bread 3tbspjam/cremecheese, 1 fruit, 1snack (2-3cookies), 1 meat, 1 veggie, 1 rice; that was my staple for like ~12yrs if not more.
Calories were sourced from starchier items, less sucrose based.
Let's discuss quotes from Day 6 of Aytundra's Wai week:
On day 6 nutritional aytundra woke up from her slumber, picked up the calculator and worked her magic, she found a formula that matches RDA very well for maximizing vitamins, but sadly she can't eat the volume of it, so what was observed was less than expected.
Could I have had the wrong proportion of supporting cast members, causing the toothaches?
Glycolysis. something before Kreb Cycle. Did it stop at the muscles, did it go to fermentation pathway, lactate?
Currently it seems like I can probably eat 255kcal per meal or sitting.
That would be about 9 meals to reach the umm-mythical-normal RDA.
~255kcal, median of my current tolerance of:
2 pears = 195.44kcal,
50 cherries = 244.80kcal,
66g of sugar = 255.42kcal,
4 oranges = 257.60kcal,
3 bananas = 325.68kcal,
(66g sugar b/c by the 2nd jar, I usually get a mild acidic taste, I can't drink 8tbsp(100g) sugar water continuously straight-in-a-row without layering that with other food stuff.)

I have not spiked my diary with oil yet.

Social side effect of this diet, stocked fruits are plundered by others increasing their fruit intake.
First it was the cherries and now it is the peaches...they do know the expensive fruits!
I cannot even this out economically by plundering their cooked foods!

~~~~~ In a dim grey room, on the glass table, a relative brought out dishes of food onto the table. Blue ceramic porcelain dishes, with hot steaming light green glass-ish boiled veggies, like lettuce, mixed with bits of stir fried food of cooked brown sauced meats, an arm waved past my face "She doesn't eat that!" my mom interjected behind me in the hazy rainy grey heavy air, her sleeves waved like laundry blankets fluttering in front of my face, her hands swooped over the dish protectively removing it from sight, and her form drifted into the dark grey kitchen, my mind bemused a smile, huh she knows, and passing her were the grey forms of other relatives they were entering the dining room, I turned to the other side of this bluishgrey room, on the solid inch thick hollow white plastic table, another aunt brought a white large ceramic bowl of steaming hot beef noodles, the bowl thudded onto the plastic, echoing hollowness of the table and paired with the empty tinker of light beige plastic chopsticks drizzling like rain drops in a rolling clatter, i can't make out her face past the light white cloudy steam, i don't remember her, some relative, what is her name?, some one, whose house was i at?, i don't know?, the white steam had an urgency, the room was greying fast, social aytundra will not like this, i have to eat before it gets cold, i picked up the chopsticks ready to eat, and then ~~~~~ |I/ |w/o|k/e|!/.
**Slow Oranges
I sliced the 4th orange slowly, as slow as I can repeatedly slice an orange, slicing is fast. Fastest way to eat oranges.
I sliced the peaches slowly, as slowly as I can, I had peeled them slowly too, very slowly, as slowly as my hunger would allow.
I tossed the peels quickly.
She swapped my oranges, and he stole slices.
There were 4 sliced oranges, my plate held 3.
dry oranges, filled with rinds of petite oranges dans la orange;
i picked up another slice, and another slice, and another slice, the same poor quality slices of oranges, i hear rupturing laughter beside me.
Ah sabotage my oranges!
When I was trying to be nice.
in my heart of hearts I am happy the others are eating more fruit!
i slowed down the fruit preparation so that they had more time to eat as many slices as they can steal and swap from my plate.
I dreamed of cooked foods again, this time of miso soup. I was sipping miso soup as I ran through an unknown empty mall towards a restaurant.
I don't go to sushi restaurants often, I think I have only been to a sushi restaurant less than 15 times in my life time, the only place I get miso soup.
How should I interpret this dream? Answer is obvious right?
I skipped avocado oil today, because I don't want to dream about cooked foods. - raw aytundra
Actually, I am skipping the oil because I noticed dark shadows under my eyes yesterday, and they are still here today, skin is shinier though, someone else thought so too. I am not stressed or anything, I do the same volume of reading on the computer, same usage of eyes, so I am guessing it could be either the oil or too much sugar that is causing the darker color of skin coloration under my eyes. But I know too much sugar affects my teeth, and my teeth are perfectly fine for the last few days, plus my mouth was not acidic. So I think it might be the avocado oil, but I am guessing here. Either that, or my cooked food dreams are actually taking a toll on my REM sleep, depriving me of real sleep, and leaving dark circles under my eyes.
It looks like too little calories, you need to eat more. I bet RRM's little children eat more than this ;)
This calculator looks ok, should tell you approximately how much calories you need per day: http://walking.about.com/cs/calories/l/blcalcalc.htm
haha, I am sure they eat more than me, enough to play every chess game properly. They have an awesome chess master.
No, I don't trust that calculator, it tells me I need less calorie than the Wai calculator, so that is like what?!
I eat what I want at the moment, and it also depends on if the stocked fruits are ripe.
I try to keep all my pieces on the key squares on the chess board, but sometimes pieces are missing or are developing (bananas and peaches take time); or I only place pawns (not enough volume of the food), or I run out of time completing my moves (day ends and my calories are still low).
I perfectly know which ones rebellious aytundra will place to reclaim the board; she taps fingers on desk impatiently for her turn.
Crave aytundra I am not sure though, she is a bit random on her pieces; but currently she stares at the greener grass of the Others' turf.
The fridge and pantry has enough items between raw and rebellious aytundra to keep the whole chessboard occupied.
Question is: Will I run out of time between all the moves to put enough pieces on from raw aytundra's side, without side effects?
Raw aytundra is still debating on fish and oils, sugar she is cautious b/c of raisins, and fruits are limited by what she can eat in one sitting.
Basically what you did was wasted time today peeling fruit peels, when you could have simply peeled package labels (only a few peels not like several dozens of orange slices and tomato slices which took you 2 hours today) and twisted plastic container bottles. This is what modern aytundra would have done: 4 omelets, 2 banana milkshake, 1 peach yogurt, gummy bears, spaghetti, pizza, fish and chips, and pasteurized containerized flavour packed artificial orange juice watered down and cornsyruped. See you would have saved time raw aytundra and you would have got all your nutrients, plus calories plus the calcium. ---"So let's do that tomorrow, please pleaase please, and sushi is expensive by the way..."--- requests crave-rebellious-procookedfoods-projunkfoods-promoneysaving-protimesaving aytundra
I stocked the fridge.
20+ tomatoes are going to rot, if I do that,
plus there are that 30+ pears,
and the bananas and peaches have reached their half-life...decaying rapidly.
No gummy bears!
Missing time, missing convenience, missing money, missing crunch foods, missing popular foods...oh and you are living in the prehistoric times, you do not use electricity or fire, you missed the fun of hearing the snap of a lid or the fireworks of carefully crafted colourful packages in all the wrong font colours that work against your synaesthesia, or the fresh fruity scent of opening a package of unexpirable candy and chocolates.Aytundra wrote:What is missing now?
1 piece of cooked shrimp ~3cm cubed (not Wai item, I caved, but I doubt this act reduces my efforts, so I will keep the notation 2.7.14.)
No sugar water today.
I am waiting for myself to reset before testing between granulated sugar water, rock sugar water, or the avocado oil.
1 banana
2 pears
2 oranges
1 piece of roast pork 2x2x4cm with a piece of fried skin about 1 x 1 x 0.3cm (not Wai item, I guess version 2 is getting social-crave-rebellious aytundra on-board, sampling aytundra is sampling foods from her past; What an irony.)
No sugarwater, no tomatoes, no salmon, no oil today.
No sugarwater, because mild acidic taste sensed internally and externally in the mouth (2.5.12), On (2.6.13) I switched to yellow rock sugar to test the taste on acidity, and rock sugar gave the same effect as granulated sugar externally. So it is sugar. Not surprised because I am quite familiar with the acidic taste, used to get it every weekend after I ate a bag of gummy bears (1/4 lb?) when I was 5 years old or something along with the mini coffees; what can I say? I was spoiled.
[I don't know if I am describing acid feeling correctly it could just be subjective imo thing, I just call it acid because the acidic aftertaste does taste acidic externally not within walls of mouth but the taste on the tongue after I swallow sugar water, but internally it is like an acidic feeling, like that acid feeling when your muscle are sore after running.]
No tomatoes, because I am getting a tomatoey aftertaste to tomatoes. Probably because I have had too much.
No water and salmon, because protein and water from (2.5.12) may have increased volume for digestion, causing me to wake up sluggishly. Mind was like: "I am on Wai, but hey I woke up like 2 hours later than my acclimatize version, this is not like me.".
2 weeks of Wai, I think removing my usual rice (fiber + water + starch) plus heavy dinner, made a positive difference on my wake time, as in waking up earlier; but on Wai days that I ate fish (2.5.12),(2.6.13), or yolks (2.4.11) I woke up a little later.
I should move protein meals earlier in the day;
Reduce water volume in meals close to sleep time;
Reduce fiber content in meals close to sleep time.
Yolks consumed after fruits have a dries the mouth. (2.4.11)
Yolks consumed before fruits do not leave the mouth dry.
Yolks sandwiched between fruit yolk fruit intake works well to balance the sugar taste, usually no acidic after taste from fruits.
I should probably try the sandwich version of yolks before sleep. As I think fats/oils make a better sleep, but minor yolk residual in mouth doesn't make waking up earlier.
Oils, I don't know how it works on me, needs more experiments.
