Weight: 71.2 Kg (-0.5 Kg)

9:45 Wake Up
19:45-23:50 3.7L OJ + 9 Hazelnuts, 20 Almonds
0:00 125g Raw Salmon, 3 Egg Yolks
1:45 300mL OJ + 2 tsp. OO + 1 tsp. Sugar, 2Egg Yolks*
2:10 2 Mangos*
2:30 Bowel Movement
3:00-10?-11?-14:00 Sleeping

Energy: 2774.76 kcal
Protein: 74.80 g
Carbs: 492.37 g
Fat: 65.24 g

* This was weird, normally I want to eat tons of yolks before going to bed, but this day they weren't tasting the same (well, maybe also these last eggs I bought doesn't taste as good as usual - they taste a little bitter).
Nevertheless, I had this need to eat some more carbs/sugar and, yeah, I had to eat those 2 mangos, because I didn't have any OJ left. Curiously enough, I fell asleep immediately once again, lol... I mean, while I was eating those mangos I was already feeling some tiredness going through my eyes.

RRM wrote:Its not stressful in the sense that i experience stress.
The stress is physical.
GH, cortisol, adrenalin are stress hormones.
When you fast or exercise, such hormones are released, to get you the sugars that you need.
Autophagy in that sense, is also a stress response.
But unlike 'normal stress' (as one may experience at work), this kind of stress prolongs life.
"So, while I agree that IF is part of our heritage, and that it can be helpful in certain situations, I don’t believe it’s an appropriate strategy for everyone.

Why? Because fasting can elevate cortisol levels. One of cortisol’s effects is that it raises blood sugar. So, in someone with blood sugar regulation issues, fasting can actually make them worse.

I’ve seen this time and time again with my patients. Almost all of my patients have blood sugar imbalances. And it’s usually not as simple as “high blood sugar” or “low blood sugar”. They often have a combination of both (reactive hypoglycemia), or strange blood sugar patterns that, on the surface, don’t make much sense. These folks aren’t eating a Standard American Diet. Most of them are already on a paleo-type or low-carb diet. Yet they still have blood sugar issues.

In these cases, cortisol dysregulation is almost always the culprit. When these patients try intermittent fasting, their blood sugar control gets worse. I will see fasting blood sugar readings in the 90s and even low 100s, in spite of the fact that they are eating a low-carb, paleo-type diet.

That’s why I don’t recommend intermittent fasting for people with blood sugar regulation problems. Instead, I suggest that they eat every 2-3 hours. This helps to maintain stable blood sugar throughout the day and prevents cortisol and other stress hormones like epinephrine and norepinephrine from getting involved. When my patients that have been fasting and experiencing high blood sugar readings switch to eating this way, their blood sugar numbers almost always normalize"

RRM, is triggering constantly these stress hormones in a long-term healthy?
Kasper, I know that you talk a lot about stress and maybe I just can't do IF...

http://lissarankin.com/10-signs-you-hav ... h-cortisol
"- 1. You’re not sleeping well.
- 7. Your sex drive is in the crapper."

http://www.todaysdietitian.com/newarchi ... 9p38.shtml
"Fertility Problems
Elevated cortisol relating to prolonged stress can lend itself to erectile dysfunction or the disruption of normal ovulation and menstrual cycles. Furthermore, the androgenic sex hormones are produced in the same glands as cortisol and epinephrine, so excess cortisol production may hamper optimal production of these sex hormones."

To be honest with you, when I started doing IF, my libido really dropped, but I never blamed IF (always prozac, food), as well as for sleeping. (I am talking about 1/2 months before arriving here)

Is this that not everyone can do IF (or can I say, trigger Autophagy)? Or it is highly suggested to be on IF and exercise at the same time. Otherwise, it will be just a hindrance for our body?

Personally, when I intermittent fasting, I am very alert all day, very focused, and my belly is ripped at the end of the day

About your libido, I think the more you are on this diet, the more it becomes important

I noticed in people who are bio addict thoroughly with vegetables, soja have tired, lifeless, dull and gray hair.
Wai, juice, sugar, intermittent fasting, of excellent quality raw proteins (but not too much) then you are perfectly fine.

When my energy is brimming, which happens constantly on this diet, either by intermittent fasting or by taking juice, my libido is maximum at this level.

I also try to learn if with 95 grams of animal protein taken every day, it does not risk anything in the long run, if the body has enough protein with 95 grams. Anyway with that amount I feel perfectly fine as long as I drink a lot of juice ;)

That being said also, I think, is that drinking juice with sugar must be constantly active, finally, as much as possible, go walk, while others lunch, will walk ... The more active with simple activities like walking, or as a waiter, then it's perfect for cellulite and all.

when I move I feel good, when I do not move I feel good but also less energy

I happen to have sugar spikes when I drink juice with sugar and I'm not very active, I hate it! it lasts 5-10 minutes

Hee, I think you are underestimating how important a regular and normal sleep rhythm is for your health. One day you wake up at 9, then you wake up at 14? I think I saw studies on mouse showing this can cause problems like gut inflammation.

When did you start your intermittent fasting?

When did you start the regular Wai diet?

How many days was it, for you to understand your energy levels on the regular Wai diet?

How many days was it, for you to understand your energy levels on intermittent fasting?

Well, before in my first "woke up", I could say, I felt much more greater. But now, I still continue to experience sleepiness... :(

Well I did a brief search how your libido responds in high-carb vs low-carb/ketogenic diet. What was interesting is that some people seem to have more success on one diet and others don't.
RRM wrote:Your libido reflects your entire body.
Considering that your average intake is accurate, consuming more protein usually means a small
shift in the catabolic/anabolic balance, in favor of anabolic (favoring your libido)
The same is true for carb intake, and particularly fructose, as fructose is an essential element in semen production.

So, if you just had sex and want to be ready for more, fast;
stack up on sugars and protein.

It reflects that your body has sufficient fructose and protein at its disposal.

I still didn't feel any increase of my libido since I got here :(. But I wonder how my body copes with IF...

Stress hormones in the morning can make you feel good and energetic.

But why you go sleep at 3 AM ?? It is not heaaaaalthy. Why your parents complain about your fruit consumption? They should tell you to go sleeeeep haha.

I think stress hormones can do much havoc to libido. Since I focussed on decreasing stress hormones to the absolute minimum, my libido is super high, like as high as it was when I was 15.

Still haha? You are just here for a couple of weeks. Don't expect miracles in a short time. Miracles in short time, in my experience, and yes I have done a looooot of dieting, and tried many many different things, and every time I got this "miracle", suddenly feeling much better, I think it is in 90% of the cases because of stress hormones. People overestimate what they can achieve in a week, and underestimate what is possible in a year, true for many things, but certainly in health this is true imo.

But about IF, I think IF is stressful, and maybe too stressful for some people. I think in your case it may be better to just focus on what your body is asking for. And act on that. Especially because you have high cortisol and adrenaline.

Very good question Ayundra, Then resume from the beginning

In 2008 I started to change feeding: STOPPING gluten, dairy, meat etc etc.

I ate mostly brown rice, gluten free toast with lots of olive oil, a lot almonds, hazelnuts, box of tuna with rice.

In late 2008 I came across the Wai diet and sample diet, I read 10 minutes, in my head I thought 'ok this is people are absolutely crazy, he wants me to eat fruit, raw fish and egg yolk ?? !!! WTF !! lol

I've left in a corner of my brain before ...

Mid 2009, I had to make me clearly that my diet had reduced my acne but it was absolutely not under control so my brain is returned gradually to the site Wai
I literally read everything, the forum, the book, all about Wai, and especially the results of people very encouraging and motivating

In late 2009 I started WAI DIET, at the beginning, so I was eating whole fruit, all the time, at least 20 apples, 20 bananas, orange juice, I had no juice extractor
And especially I take 5 yolks in a glass with the bag because I had not read yet he had to remove the bag from the egg yolk.

In two weeks I had my answer : it works perfectly

Then I was a couple for six months and I put aside Wai, although it arrived to me to be above regularly but not 100%

Ah yes, the Wai diet to completely clear my acne, I had from my refuge and my peace of mind, for that I am very grateful once again RRM.

2010-2014 Wai 100% + cheat meal, mostly because of alcohol and parties, the next evening

2015-2016: more than cheating , I stopped drinking , if I happened to cheat it with potatoes and egg yolk and still intermittent fasting , and I was getting intermittent fasting in 2013- 2014 I think I do not know, it must be marked in this thread also when I started because I was asking lots of question RRM when he began
Then: juice + sugar made the difference for the energy levels, at the beginning of intermittent fasting I was a little hungry but that's quickly regulate

Even with 95 grams of fish per day + yellow I can easily do intermittent fasting without going hungry and perfect energy.

Today I made an intermittent fasting until 17.30, I got up at 7am, very active, I went to the gym to 15h for the back and I did 10 minutes of cardio, I then went to a hammam in a hotel for 30 minutes, around 17h after all that I was very thirsty 1 liter orange sugar

Strangely I am always energetic when I practice intermittent fasting, whereas when I drink juice for example around noon my energy goes up and down and loss of focus if I am not active ...

My experimentation is the best for me is to drink only from 14h, of trying to walk, walk a lot to deserve its own juice, not too much protein either because it tired the next day and my skin does do not like too high intakes protein

Ahahah Yes in bed Novidez ! ;)

yes I agree , for energy, skin , mood , it is really recommended to have fixed hours , ideally sleep early and get up early, try for three months, set your alarm for 6am , lie early and look at the results

especially when you get up early you'll be much more productive to do many things: meditate, read a book, walk, make a lot of juice, advance its projects;)

especially depression too, if I get up late, I'm not as good as when I get up early, it is a feeling that goes away quickly but I prefer when I start early

Well, I think you coulda probably guess how I was going to do yesterday... Even worse. I fell asleep really late, I was already seeing the sunrise.
I live alone during the week and some weekends. I know that is not healthy, and I don't like it at all! :x But, this started to snowball and now it is always messed up. When I lay down on bed, I am all active: thinking about everything, putting and taking of clothes, finding better position to sleep... It's terrible.
Kasper wrote:Stress hormones in the morning can make you feel good and energetic.
The problem is that I feel like that when I am on the bed, at night.
chris75001 wrote:it is really recommended to have fixed hours , ideally sleep early and get up early, try for three months, set your alarm for 6am , lie early and look at the results
I want to do that, that's why I always put an alarm clock. But, of course, I feel terrible. And that week before was horrible, because I was sleeping less and at night I couldn't sleep either.

But there is something interesting here: when I started Wai I was eating much more fat than I am now. Day by day, I was slowly eating less and less fat. At least, in terms of ratio (I think I am doing the maths well). And, since I began to drink 4L OJ of orange a day, this became worse. It's too soon to conclude of course, but I am going to change a bit the carb:fat ratio and see how I will do.
You will probably say that I lack some discipline  . Well, that may be true... But I am also lacking that feeling of being tired at night too, and this started somewhere.

I'm sorry if you're insomniac because I have no answer, by cons as you at one time I slept very late, ie to 2-3-4h the morning and I woke up to 10h-12h

What works very well, forcing to wake up at a fixed time every day even though we slept very little because the body will adapt very quickly. And spend the day: sports, walking, fitness

If every morning you get up at 6 am, you spend energy, you'll quickly sleep the night from 21-22h-23h without problems, your natural clock will return soon

Trying...

Also copy food intakes of the days that you slept early consecutively.
i.e. April 12, 13 2016.
