Re: Giving it up for pasteurized fruit concentrates/pulps/ju

I started my diet on pasteurized juices, and I strongly regret that decision. It wore my teeth down and gave me stomach pains. It was insanely convenient, cheap, and portable. But I would never consider turning back since I started making my own juice. Also, it's very difficult to get the OO to emu...

Substituting olive oil for walnuts

Most of us have olive/coconut oil as the major source of fat. What about substituting it for walnuts? If you eat like 100g of walnut kernel a day you get 65g of fat, plus some egg yolk or fatty meat/fish fat you don't need any more fat in a day! Why? First - they have a omega3-omega6 ratio of 1/4. O...

Re: warmed up yolks (40 degrees Celsius)

So funny, my story is very alike! I started having constipation with yolks (cause i love eating 12-20 a day, my body and mind feel really great with it), so I created the north pole eggs recipe: mixing the yolks with sugar, then adding hot water from the tube, then freezing. The freezing acts kinda ...

Re: Giving it up for pasteurized fruit concentrates/pulps/ju

Ok, I finally got sick after 1-2 months of drinking loads of store bought juice... I feel worse physically. Not bad, but not nearly as good as before. I think it's probably due to lack of vitamins and enzymes, that get destroyed in large percentages with the heating process of obtaining the fruit co...

Re: Munch foods: chocolate and potato chips

I've just naturally stopped eating chocolate. I was starting to feel too "dirty" when eating it (really physically I guess). It also started to bore me, somehow. From my 2 weeks experience I can say I've been considerably less alert and with less clearness of mind. Also left fruit concentrates in ca...

Re: Munch foods: chocolate and potato chips

I've been eating 100g a day of dark chocolate for 1 week straight and I never felt like going over 100g. In fact, I eat little amounts all through the day, and when it's about 10pm I really don't feel like eating it anymore! I can drink juice, some fresh fruit, some fish/meat, but never dark chocola...

Omg, I've just tried this dark chocolate, chopped in little cubes, with my North Pole Eggs (check in recipes board)...

Re: Munch foods: chocolate and potato chips

Well, to me they don't give me any constipation at all :) I don't think raw chocolate is a good idea, since it should have a lot of anti-nutrients, as RRM said before. And hell, I wouldn't pay that much! Besides it shouldn't even be that tasty. I'm not that much concerned about dirty protein and tra...

Re: Much foods: chocolate and potatoe chips

I've been doing a test of eating dark chocolate in the past few days. About 100g a day. I tried to get the least harmful one: 50% cocoa solids, 5% protein, 0.1% trans-fat, little to no cholesterol. And no food additives nor "addictives" - only vanilla aroma. The other ingredients are sugar, cocoa bu...

North Pole Eggs

for each egg yolk, use 1 tbsp of white sugar and 1 tbsp of water 1.) put the yolks in a container 2.) add the white sugar. stir well 3.) add hot water. might be from the tube if you wanna save time. still i recommend 70ºC-80ºCs, it won't damage that much the protein and it will make the yolks get ki...

Re: Giving it up for pasteurized fruit concentrates/pulps/ju

I buy excellent quality oranges, not online in bulk but by discounts in the stores, yes this is time consuming, but hey better than eating tons of acidic oranges. The ones I buy are somehow good quality. Only sometimes acidic. But yeah, time is the very problem for me, specially on juicing them. Ok...

Re: Giving it up for pasteurized fruit concentrates/pulps/ju

I gave up on bananas some time ago too, they always seem to constipate me no matter how rippen/expensive/bio. Too bad, as in my opinion they are the best fruit overall, nutritious, low acid, rippens well, etc. That's also my opinion, and for more they are the cheapest, since they have much less wat...

Giving it up for pasteurized fruit concentrates/pulps/juices

I got particularly upset the last time I bought a bulk of bananas, 25kg for 25€. I buy this much, cause I have little time and I buy it by online service, so the more they bring me in one time, the less times I have to order and to pay the delivery cost. I always do this and always eat the fruit on ...
